@PaulRidley5 The cost of glasses is insane. Been coping with broken frames since Christmas because mine cost upwards of £200. I have to pay for lenses to be thinned as they don't fit in the frames otherwise
We have a rare opportunity for an established journalist to show what they can do as a news editor - give us a shout if you think you're the person https://t.co/qtpAobzV56
@The_Marmalady@claireahall This was a thing wasn't it! Absolute insanity. Awful PE teacher once made me try to shoot a netball into a net without my glasses and lined up the whole class to watch and laugh as I failed...apparently it was 'inspiring me to try harder'
@EchoSportNeil Wishing you all the best with everything that comes next Neil. I know Nigel rated you very highly - you've been a stalwart of the Dorset Echo sports desk.
@victoriafinan@yorkshirepost All the best with your return to work! My little one is two now, I went back full time to journalism about 15 months ago. Please DM if you'd like to talk
Strongly suspect staying up to cover General Election counts in previous years when I wasn't pregnant and mum to a toddler will feel like a piece of cake compared to tonight 😅😬
It's been a busy morning for me - Keir Starmer has been in Nuneaton, making pirates with little ones at a school as he makes a key General Election pledge

On behalf of all the emergency services could we ask that if you park anywhere on or adjacent to a public highway that you leave enough space for the emergency services to get past your vehicle. Please also leave all ‘emergency access points’ clear. Thank you.
@JayneCahill1@sharon_wisner We used to take the foil caps into school to use to make pictures of space ships and planets. Not sure about 'old days' - it was the 90s, was that the old days?! 😅
