GTA 6 news summary today:
- November 19 is the final date
- Marketing starts in summertime (late June)
- Pre-orders will go live with marketing
- Strauss never specifically said a new trailer is part of marketing so Trailer 3 could drop before summer
- Take-Two expects $8 billion in revenue this fiscal year
- The game will offer far more value that what they will charge
- Marketing will be very significant broad but won’t resemble GTAV’s marketing (fewer TV ads and probably more focus on social media)
We’re actually back.
@PanIndiaReview Indian CBFC has trimmed the version. The uncut version is released in the overseas. The film is A certified, yet they trimmed some violent scenes. So what is supposed to be shown in a A rated film? Tom and jerry chasing one another? Very much disappointed in CBFC. 😤
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that Rockstar Games has not at all utilised generative AI in the creation of GTA 6.
Strauss has said before that AI will never be a substitute for human creativity and I’m glad that they’re sticking to that.

🚨: Finland successfully transmits electric power through the air without using physical wires.
Scientists successfully transmitted electricity through air using ultrasonic sound waves and laser beams.
Finland is positioning itself at the forefront of a wireless energy revolution, with researchers from the University of Helsinki and the University of Oulu pioneering methods to move electricity without physical cables.
One of the most striking developments involves using high-intensity ultrasonic sound waves to create invisible pathways through the air, effectively guiding electrical sparks along a controlled route.
While currently in the experimental phase, this 'acoustic wire' technology could eventually enable contactless electrical connections and smart interfaces that function entirely without plugs or traditional wiring.
Beyond sound-guided energy, Finnish innovation is also leveraging light and radio frequencies to solve complex power challenges. The private sector is developing 'power-by-light' systems that utilize high-powered lasers to transmit electricity to remote receivers, providing critical galvanic isolation for hazardous environments like nuclear plants and high-voltage stations. Simultaneously, advancements in radio-frequency harvesting are turning ambient waves into 'Wi-Fi for power,' potentially eliminating the need for millions of disposable batteries in low-power IoT sensors. Together, these technologies signal a shift toward a more flexible, cable-free infrastructure for global industry.

FINALLY DID IT
Take-Two just vaporized $3.2B in market cap to buy 6 months of polish.
The math here is wild. They're essentially paying $17M per day of delay to avoid shipping a game that mightunderperform a $7B launch window.
This tells you everything about how Rockstar views execution risk. They're not optimizing for time-to-market. They're optimizing for a single variable: launch quality.
Because in their model, a flawed GTA 6 doesn't just underperform. It destroys 15 years of franchise equity and tanks the entire live service roadmap.
The interesting part? Every other AAA publisher is watching this and thinking "we can't afford to do that."
Rockstar can. And that gap is only getting wider.
