@denvertodd21@zerohedge Iran was the first country he said approved it. He listed them first, then everyone else.
That being said.....we have been told this about 40 times before already.
Two things I had never seen before today.....a newly mated queen displaying "mating sign", which is the drone's phallus still attached to her....and a queen flying off a frame while I was looking at it
I'll go back in a couple of days and make sure she made it back home.
@AuronMacintyre This is going to keep happening so long as the actors get their money up front.
If their pay was tied to the box office this would stop happening.
It's going to need a lot more than $350 mil to break even. $165 million was the production budget for *California Qualified Expenses*
That doesnt include the budget for the producers, directors, actors (excluding extras) writers, composers and supervisors. All in this movie probably cost close to $200 million....offset some by tax credits.
Throw in another 100 million for marketing.
Just throwing this out there. Its a good idea to wait at least 5 days (I typically wait 7) after introducing a new queen to a hive before opening them up.
It's very common for the workers to ball and kill a new queen if you disturb them before they have fully accepted her.
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about the Golden West queens. I've been to a couple of lectures given by Randy Oliver and he sounds like he's got his queens dialed in.
@Gen_Ben_Mac A weber smokey mountain is a very underrated option.
Add a pit controller (like a Fireboss) and its as easy as a pellet cooker with better smoke flavor.
Beekeeping is *tough*. Harder than I imagined it would be.
My first year I lost both of my hives.
My second year I expanded...and lost 2 of 3.
I haven't lost one in winter since. 4 straight years of 0% losses (avg 8 hives).
I don't intend it as a brag. My son got to see all my failures. Now he sees my successes. I hope he learned something from it.
@AnonSuz@OldHollowTree Beekeeping is more difficult than people realize. Most quit within a few years.
It's also more expensive than you'd think.
But if you get hooked, you'll love it.
I've hesitated to comment because I always hated when internet randos tell me I'm wrong about something I'm trying to describe, but that looks more built out than a queen cup. That looks like a queen cell to me, and the position suggests supercedure.
You'll know for sure in a couple of days.
