Engine starts for Real-World Testing 🚗!

Today PM @AlboPM joined us to launch the AAA's Real-World Testing Program.

This program will examine 200 cars in real-world driving conditions, measuring whether their fuel efficiency and emissions match lab results advertised at the point of sale.

Real-World Testing will improve consumer information and deliver truth-in-advertising.

And that will help Australian car buyers cut their fuel bills and reduce their emissions.

Real-World Testing is expected to reduce demand for cars that over-promise and under-deliver.

The Government has allocated $14 million to fund the program over four years.

First results are available in November at the program website and via Australia’s motoring clubs @NRMA , @RACV_Official , @RACQOfficial , @RAAofSA , @RACWA , @RACTOfficial and @aaofnt .
