@DrIanWeissman Here’s a data point: California spend 53% of healthcare dollars on 5% of Californians. Amazon is looking to use telehealth (think warehouse full of physicians providing services) to capture chunk of the patients. Same business model they employ in other industries (ie shopping).

@BlueShieldCA @jeffreybailet heartening to hear Dr. Bailet pledging ceiling of 2% profits with reinvestment of remaining back into community. Hope other insurance companies follow suit. Increasing premiums don’t pay doctors, healthcare, but go to profits and admin costs.
