@CLEsportsTalk Every manager needs to make adjustments throughout the season and their career. Last year he made the adjustments 2nd half. Hoping he does the same over the last stretch of the season. Some head scratching decisions but gets the benefit of doubt for a while longer
@greggmindt@RuiterWrongFAN I have supported 42 different QBs in Cleveland since 1999. I’d like one who can win. I will support whoever is playing, but while Gabriel is entering the conversation partly due to his good play, the main reason is bad play of 4 and 2. Not good for a team that “generally sucks”
@Rob_Shenanigans Love Vogt but some questionable decisions lately. How did he leave Bibee in 2 nights ago in the 8th? Ugh - we have given away a handful of games this year we couldn’t afford to lose. Not very Guards-like
@MattFontana83 Losing 41+ year old LeBron doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as the last time he took his talents elsewhere. Best of luck LBJ. Had he brought a 2nd title to CLE his legend would have grown. If the Sixers win it all, he wil be labeled a ring chasing front-runner…at similar odds to Cavs
"I'm hearing stuff in other cities too. I'm not gonna say who but I had somebody on the phone with me today that I consider a good source who was swearing it's a done deal in another city," - @WindhorstESPN on the latest LeBron rumors 😯😯😯
Is there a better story this season than the glow-up of Austin Hedges?
Here's where Hedgey ranks among 27 American League catchers with 100 plate appearances:
• AVG: 4th (.288)
• OBP: 3rd (.348)
• SLG: 8th (.416)
• wRC+: 6th (117)
• WAR: 10th (0.9)
🚨Zlatan Ibrahimovic on VAR after Croatia’s last-minute equaliser vs Portugal was ruled out:*
This referees are doing everything possible for Ronaldo to win the world cup but they will say Messi is the FIFA boy , This ball was never an Offside because the ball didn't touch the Croatia player , This is pure daylight robbery.
"The referee and VAR have just erased what should have been one of the greatest moments of this World Cup.”
"Let’s be clear: if you’re going to cancel a goal in the 90th minute, the evidence has to be beyond doubt. I’ve watched the incident multiple times, from every angle, and I still don’t see anything conclusive enough to overturn it.”
"If you’re in that VAR room for minutes, pausing, zooming, drawing lines to a shoulder, a boot, a heel… it’s not clear and obvious. And if it’s not clear, the goal must stand. That’s the whole point of VAR.”
"The referee has allowed technology to become the main character. But fans don’t fill stadiums or stay up late to watch a screen. They come for football — for drama, for emotion, for moments you remember forever.”
"Croatia showed real fight. They dug in, they scored late, they thought they’d earned a dramatic equaliser to keep their dream alive. Then one decision ripped it away, and that decision will be argued about for years.”
"This is why confidence in VAR is collapsing. It’s no longer fixing obvious mistakes. It’s hunting millimeters that nobody in the stadium can see with their own eyes. That’s not what football is supposed to be.”
"I feel for those Croatian players more than anything. You celebrate, you believe your World Cup is back on, and then it’s gone in seconds. For me, the referee on the pitch and VAR in the booth both got it wrong.

@ESPNCleveland I like the sentiment, just not sure who the right fit is for this team on a rental. Would love to see it happen, though. Burger, Moniak, Royce Lewis. Maybe Reid Detmers or Fairbanks as an arm
