@ArkoseMTB The 44mm Headtube used is designed for a tapered fork; the headset is ZS44/28.6 top, EC44/40 lower.

Pretty much the most common headtube on steel frames. Steel tapered head tubes are much larger in diameter, which look pretty awful given the smaller diameter of steel tubing!
