THE SHORELINE
the 5th entry in the WARNING SIGNS series, now listed on @superrare
walking the shoreline looking for shells. a familiar shape caught my eye, half buried in the sand. two rifle rounds, rusted together. weapon that became mineral. event that became geology. even now, under a clear blue sky, the shoreline remembers what happened
WARNING SIGNS is an ongoing series of 1/1s made from life inside conflict. each piece is a response to real events as i live through them

artists lose history all the time in this space
platforms shut down. contracts migrate. marketplaces wipe data. indexers reshuffle. whole chapters of an artists career disappear
this happened to NGs (2022) & SZNS (2023), 2 collections i created with hiroji kotegawa. when a vulnerability in @thirdweb's contracts forced us to migrate to @manifoldxyz to protect collectors, the marketplace provenance broke & the secondary sales history was wiped
at the time NGs had traded around 300 eth in secondary volume. SZNS was still new but already seeing strong activity, including a 5.5 eth sale of one of its 1/1s
on @opensea today, none of that data shows
so i rebuilt the record @ https://t.co/WsjfEBmctR
2 live pages pull data directly from both the original & current contracts. every token, every recoverable sale & transfer, searchable by id & shareable down to the individual piece. for NGs, the page also includes a dated opensea screenshot from may 30, 2023, six months before thirdweb disclosed the vulnerability
doing this work made something we all know even more obvious, but its worth saying again. the chain is permanent & the platforms are not. whats less obvious is how much of the record disappears the moment a platform breaks
provenance matters. collectors deserve to see what actually happened

boy with Muse
my 4th abstract (ackstract) work will be on auction with no reserve starting in 45 minutes.
this work comes paired with a beautiful, deep textured ChromaSculpt print on canvas, pale gold frame.
60inch X 36inch (61x37 framed)
it may seem unorthodox but every previous ackstract work i've sold has been with a zero reserve. let us continue the tradition.
this is my most textured work to date, it's finished, and just sitting here in the studio. i'd rather it go off into the world and begin its journey.
