@MikeKoke285589 @lt_stavrogin @TheOmniLiberal 500k is crazy, but making 150,000-200,000 is much more realistic.
Thats enough money to live a good life if you ask me
Attached below is a prevailing wage sheet for the city of Waltham Massachusetts. I highlighted plumber cause that's my trade.
@SassyPotato2022@HausPrometheus@TheOmniLiberal This information is misleading, entry level welders aren't diving underwater, they are learning to weld in water, usually doing work in shallow water.
Saturation divers earn between 1,500-2,500 a day for specific jobs
@LangmanVince@elonmusk Your wrong about Democrats man, Im republican, but I know tons, absolutely tons of democrats who are sick of the focus on LGBT, diversity, and the rest of the bullshit.
I know if a candidate ran on individual values, rather than party lines, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat
@natesweather@giaotvu@PBCollect79@TerasGhost He can become an apprentice just like that, he'd have to do a 5 year apprenticeship, take night school and pass the exam.
Still, takes 4-5 years depending on overtime (6,800 working hours under a journeyman/master)
Pretty sure an engineer just needs a 4 year bachelor degree
@natesweather@giaotvu@PBCollect79@TerasGhost You can use that argument for anything, what happens when there's an oversupply of nurses, what happens when there's an over supply of engineers (oh wait, we know exactly what happens, there is an over supply of engineers)
Most plumbers don't work residential work.

When your union, health insurance, retirement, etc, aren't deducted from your pay, that's why there's such a large difference between hourly rate and total package
@natesweather@giaotvu@PBCollect79@TerasGhost Your severely misinformed on how much plumbers make.
I was making 25 an hour as a tier 2 apprentice back in 2020, as a tier 4 I was making 29.50
That was in 2022
Average pay for a journeyman is 40-50 dollars an hour in massachusetts
I'll post union payscale below
@natesweather@PBCollect79@TerasGhost As you progress in your apprenticeship, you will gain tiers, which results in higher pay.
At tier 1, you usually make just above minimum wage. By tier 2, you're making about 22-23 an hour, tier 3 25 an hour tier, and 4 closer to 30
This is based on Massachusetts
@natesweather@PBCollect79@TerasGhost You have no idea what your talking about
Im a plumber, you work as an apprentice for 4-5 years.
In those 4-5 years you will undergo 550 hours of class room training, usually at night 2 days a week.
Once you meet the requirements, you must pass a test, then your licensed
