I’m giving away for free 2 pit tickets for #KingsOfLeon this evening in Milano. Just DM me an email address with the names, I’ll change these and reply with the pdf. I’m held up overseas for work and hate to see these tickets go to waste.
🇲🇩 About a year ago, while I was stuck in Paris, the French intelligence services reached out to me through an intermediary, asking me to help the Moldovan government censor certain Telegram channels ahead of the presidential elections in Moldova.
After reviewing the channels flagged by French (and Moldovan) authorities, we identified a few that clearly violated our rules and removed them. The intermediary then informed me that, in exchange for this cooperation, French intelligence would “say good things” about me to the judge who had ordered my arrest in August last year.
This was unacceptable on several levels. If the agency did in fact approach the judge — it constituted an attempt to interfere in the judicial process. If it did not, and merely claimed to have done so, then it was exploiting my legal situation in France to influence political developments in Eastern Europe — a pattern we have also observed in Romania 🇷🇴
Shortly thereafter, the Telegram team received a second list of so-called “problematic” Moldovan channels. Unlike the first, nearly all of these channels were legitimate and fully compliant with our rules. Their only commonality was that they voiced political positions disliked by the French and Moldovan governments.
We refused to act on this request.
Telegram is committed to freedom of speech and will not remove content for political reasons. I will continue to expose every attempt to pressure Telegram into censoring our platform. Stay tuned. 🤝
1) Israel buys TikTok.
2) Netanyahu immediately meets with content creators in the U.S.
3) He commissions them to fight against their fellow Americans, in order to secure support for the state of Israel.
*You do not hate Israel enough.
Israeli-Aligned Billionaires Seize TikTok in Battle for U.S. Narrative Control
The White House has announced that the forced sale of TikTok will be finalized this week. The new ownership led by Larry Ellison - the largest individual donor to the IDF - will take control of U.S. user data and the algorithm which the White House says will be "retrained".
Ellison, who made his fortune developing Oracle - a database system he originally built for the CIA - already controls CBS, Paramount, MTV, Comedy Central, Showtime, Nickelodeon (which makes kids shows) as well as Channel 10 in Australia and Channel 5 in the UK. Ellison is also expected to finalize control over Warner Bros. Discovery (including CNN, HBO and the Discovery channel) before the end of 2025.
Even before the forced sale is finalised, censorship of TikTok content critical of Israel, including of the deal itself, has reached extreme levels as the platform moves to align with its prospective new owners. Fox – a Murdoch asset - is also seeking to join the Ellison consortium, a move that could enable cross-promotion between Fox and TikTok, further tightening the Israeli-aligned information bubble.
Disapproval of what Israel is doing in Gaza has risen to 60% of the US population, nearly double the approval rate of 32%.
The U.S. still has over three years of Trump left. Israeli-aligned Jewish billionaires control OpenAI, Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp, Palantir, CBS, HBO, and most of Conde Nast (Reddit, Vogue, The New Yorker, Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair) as well as numerous Hollywood studios, regional papers and radio stations.
Europe, meanwhile, remains largely absent, offering little real competition in the information space. Its one real success story? Telegram, which it managed to comprehensively alienate after France arrested its founder, supposedly for not handing over enough user data.
Will the EU and other U.S. allies align with the “Israelified” TikTok algorithm, or attempt to create a politicised alternative of their own?
Decentralised alternatives like Keet and Nostr offer strong resistance to censorship but are still young. Larger platforms like Telegram and Rednote carry serious risks of censorship, including eventual sell-off to other interests. For users the sweet spot may be to use both. One for political reliability, the others for a (politically temporary) audience.
A contact at the Israeli Foreign Ministry has told me that they are very concerned that moves to remove them from UEFA and the Eurovision seem to be gaining traction. "No one is returning our calls," he told me, "it feels like we are done." It will be considered a major political and diplomatic defeat for Israel, signaling the beginning of true pariah status.
Israeli conductor Ilan Volkov, who last week called for an end to the war during a London concert, was arrested at a demonstration on the Gaza border against the war.
“Stop the genocide. It’s ruining everything. Stop it now.”

Defence minister Luke Pollard admits RAF surveillance footage over Gaza is not being used to assess Israel's compliance with international humanitarian law.
Why? Because Israel wouldn't allow it.
Israeli conductor Ilan Volkov stunned the audience with an emotional speech denouncing Israel’s war on Gaza at the BBC Proms in London.
Volkov, who led the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, said he carried “great pain” and could no longer stay silent.
The BBC cut its broadcast before his speech, saying it was not informed in advance.
He described the killing of thousands of Palestinians, the repeated displacement of families, and the collapse of hospitals and schools.
“Innocent Palestinians are being killed in thousands, displaced again and again, without hospitals and schools, not knowing when the next meal will come,” he told the audience.
“We cannot let this go on any longer, every moment that passes puts the safety of millions at risk.”
Volkov later announced in an interview that he will no longer perform in Israel in protest against its atrocities in Gaza.
@DTealy1@_RadicalRealist@TadhgHickey@rtenews The lighthouse is located more or less near the spot which reads Mediterranean Panorama (top right). It is the high point on Sidi Bou Saïd hill. Fun fact, the US Ambassador’s residence is the house with a pool (and tennis court) just above the spot tagged “Corniche Sidi Bou Saïd”
"Those who suffered the Holocaust do not want to be involved in anyone else's genocide". A Jewish Holocaust survivor making the Jewish people proud again in the face of Israel's genocide of Palestinians.
Sur Franceinfo, on nous explique tranquillement qu’on ne peut pas parler de terrorisme à propos de Magdebourg parce que l’auteur est d’extrême-droite.

@DavidCornDC@daveweigel When I look at the Tunisian democratic experience, I think that the key word missing from most comments on Harris’ defeat is ‘contempt’. When rulers take their voters for granted, ignore promises, favor cynicism over values, it comes at a cost. And your voters won’t turn out.
Anywhere in the world, if you have clashes between local and travelling supporters, you blame ultras and yobs left and right. When an Israeli club is involved, it becomes antisemitism, pogrom, and a King, a PM, a Mayor blame their own citizens. WTF do they have on you? 🤷🏻
