This World Cup has been surreal as a Scottish ⚽️ commentator with a Boston life when away from the 🎙️
Yet work commitments mean being on the west coast commentating while the fun has been going on.
Can only say I’ve smiled a lot looking at my worlds colliding, albeit on video.
Hoping (and sensing) this is the World Cup that opens eyes. So many Boston area people have been exposed to 🌎⚽️ & specifically to our little 🏴 country‘s culture.
Sports talk hosts, local TV are embracing it in a way the old media guard just wouldn’t in 1994.
The Boston Red Sox would be crazy if after the World Cup they don’t invite Super John McGinn to return as their guest at Fenway and have him throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Boston and Glasgow are becoming official partners.
Mayor Michelle Wu announced plans for a new partnership between the two cities, building on historic ties and the goodwill created by the 2026 World Cup.
