Yesterday elements of the Puma Force, which are now permanently deployed to RAF Akrotiri, began their training to familiarise themselves with the Island and their new role in Cyprus. An excellent start to the adventure in their new home.

This week the Chief of Staff British Forces Cyprus, Air Commodore Beasant visited members of 51 Sqn @RAF_Regiment, deployed to @RAFAkrotiri as the Resident Field Squadron.
During his visit he was briefed by the Execs and saw some of the equipment utilised by the Sqn.

The Royal Airforce Aerobatic Team (RAFAT), the Red Arrows, return to Cyprus today as part of Op EASTERN HAWK. They will be using RAF Akrotiri as a staging post before continuing to tour the Middle East and Egypt. Welcome back! @rafredarrows
