@WinsidrAryeh I have no stats to support this, but this rookie class seemed more impactful than any I can remember. There could have been a 2nd team of: Aoka Makani, Rivers, Lacan, Paopao, and Morrow.
@RashadJ62080717@WinsidrAryeh True. Sabally and Thomas both push off to create space, and nothing was called. The Lynx players didn’t try pushing off. I know logic and WNBA officiating don’t always go hand in hand, but it seems like they could have gotten away with it as well.
@WinsidrAryeh Going back to officiating, I’ll never understand why the post-season is called differently than the regular season. The regular season should prepare players for the post-season, and if the games get called differently it doesn’t do that.
@WinsidrAryeh Tibbetts out-coached Reeve in this series. His team’s defense took the Lynx out of their offense and the halftime adjustments that Reeve is noted for, just didn’t happen. Phoenix’s defensive intensity led to many Lynx players either playing timidly or making bad decisions.
@RachGall This year’s all-rookie team has four locks (Bueckers, Cotron, Iriafen, and Malonga). There are a lot of worthy candidates for the final spot: Lacan, Rivers, Morrow, Salaun, Paopao, Akoa Makani, Quinerly, Geiselsoder…who would you put on the team?
@RachGall@WinsidrAryeh It certainly seems like she’s the heir-apparent in Minnesota, but I would have a hard time turning down LA if they win the lottery.
Now that the Finals are over I feel I can ask this question: will Katie Smith be back with the Lynx next year, or will she get one of the open head coaching positions? @WinsidrAryeh@RachGall
@TonyReali@AroundtheHorn The Liberty tried to hold the ball for the last 5:00 or so, which resulted in bad shots and shot clock violations. They lost their aggression (as Brondello pointed out in a huddle), and the Lynx amped theirs up.
@GailSimone@79SemiFinalist I’m sticking with single issues:
Wonder Woman 46: Diana helps Vanessa Kapatelis deal with her friend’s suicide.
Wonder Woman 170: Lois Lane spends a day with Wonder Woman.
Superman vs. Wonder Woman
@Winsidr@WBBDaily@byMattCohen Correct me if I’m wrong, but DiJonai Carrington isn’t eligible for Sixth Player because she has started all 32 of Connecticut’s games.
@mellentuck At this point, who would you have on your All-Rookie team? I think there are 4 clear-cut choices: Clark, Reese, Jackson, and Cardoso. I’d give the last spot to either Fiebich or Sheldon, though part of me still thinks Brinks should be there despite only playing 15 games.
