axis robotics has announced a major commercial partnership with lotus @lotuscars and @GeelyAutoGlobal auto global through the axis suite the team is bringing end to end sim2real automation into real automotive manufacturing the system creates a simulation environment that mirrors the real production line then uses task generation and simulation driven training to build sorting policies before deploying them into the physical line one simulation trained policy can handle around 500 to 800 different automotive parts replacing the need for manual per part engineering the goal is fully automated sorting with no manual step in between this is an important move for axis robotics because it shows their sim2real technology moving from research and training environments into real industrial production it also demonstrates their broader vision of building scalable robotic systems that can learn in simulation and transfer those capabilities directly into the real world credit @axisrobotics
