When we say that the foundation has been laid over the past 3 decades to commit a Rwanda scale genocide on Amharas living in Oromia, it is not an exaggeration. This video is from yesterdays “Thanksgiving” #IRREECHA celebration in Oromia where the crowd was chanting that action will be taken against Amharas living in Oromia unless they denounce Fano. The demonization of the Amhara people by Oromo nationalists and the administrators of Oromia over the last 30+ years is eerily similar to the demonization of Tutsi’s by Hutu nationalists and the Hutu government leading up the the #RwandaGenocide. The only thing missing is the trigger to start a large scale genocide, which could be a Fano advance to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia’s case. Top Ethiopian government officials, from @AbiyAhmedAli to high level Oromo Prosperity officials like Addisu Arega have threatened a Rwanda scale genocide on Amharas if their power is threatened.
