As the World Cup begins today, I pledge myself to the People’s Republic of Portugal, to be faithful and loyal to my president, Cristiano Ronaldo. So help me God❤️🇵🇹
A proud moment.
God bless our country.
Thank you His Excellency @WilliamsRuto for making Northern Kenya shine!
Seeing our children perform was just an emotional moment.
As an old history and government high school teacher who taught civic education and instilled a culture of nationhood. Celebrating madaraka in Wajir is a great step. The inclusion should be more substantive and translate to actual progress. The region should overcome clanism.
For the first time since independence, North Eastern Kenya is witnessing the implementation of transformative national flagship projects. The construction of Wajir stadium, first of its kind in Wajir and Northern Kenya at large, exemplifies the government’s commitment to equitable development and inclusive growth across all regions in Kenya.
The Wajir Stadium now at 99% completion is fully on course to host the 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations. The preparations are at their final stage and all the stakeholders are committed to bringing a successful and memorable event.
Wajir stands fully prepared to host this historic national celebrations. The decision by His Excellency President William Ruto to have Wajir host this year’s celebrations is both an honour to the people of Wajir and the larger North Eastern region, and a powerful affirmation that every part of Kenya deserves equal recognition, inclusion and development.
