I’ve seen two Hollywood musicals at @nmacc_india but nothing prepared me for 2,000 people being held spellbound for 3 hours straight - by poetry.
Last night @DrKumarVishwas proved that authentic Indian literature is the ultimate unifier. Three hours of non-stop poetry, social commentary, and soul-stirring bhakti without a single break.
​From the elite sections to the back rows, everyone joined the chorus for कोई दीवाना कहता है... in a heartbeat.
When he said किनारा करने वालों से, किनारा कर लिया मैंने, the claps were thunderous.
​So glad we didn't lose this gem to politics; he is the poet we need in these difficult times.
The line which stayed with me was -
जिसकी मस्ती ज़िंदा है, उसकी हस्ती ज़िंदा है🔥❤️
