A wonderful collection of cutting-edge discursive and #EMCA approaches to study oppression. A much needed scholarship, that grapples with criticality seriously.
Thanks @FrancescaorFW and Prof. Lester for this initiative - will return to the collection again and again!
Human-dog conflict is a pressing issue, at least for us in India, and we need more urgent studies on how we make sense of it!
This might not fit agendas of how human-nonhuman beings ought to coexist based in the 'West', but we can't ignore this.
CCTV Footage of Stray Dog Attack on Young Boy in Sangareddy Sparks Outrage
CCTV footage captured a distressing incident in Srinagar Colony, where a group of stray dogs attacked a young boy playing outside his home. The footage shows six dogs suddenly setting upon the boy, causing alarm among the locals who quickly intervened.
Responding to the boy's cries for help, residents used stones to beat and chase the dogs away. Despite their swift actions, the boy sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the government hospital for treatment.
Four days ago a boy was mauled to death in Patancheru. High court took serious note of several deaths and injuries related to stray dog attack.

'Racial Epistemics'
Speakers navigate an epistemic gradient across race lines: those who experience(d) and can report about racism, and, those receiving these reports.
Maintenance and negotiation of this gradient informs
reporting of racism.
A very important way of capturing and showing the differences in temperatures.
Heat is bound to human activities.
>40°c is so very hard to deal with and every centigrade makes a difference
