Most notably and as of recently it's the boyfriend day situation. Miraculous pretty happily included marcaniel in the tik tok about the day but when it came to the official renders, they were nowhere to be seen. Marcaniel has exactly one render together and it's just them-

And of course we have the fuckass marketing. It's well and good to include them in cute little couple compliation videos and caption a video of marcaniel with "love is love" during pride month but there are many cases of official content excluding them.

when it happens and we don't actually see them kiss. Again, THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH THE NON QUEER PAIRINGS! It was specific to julerose.

The only explicitly romantic kisses (aka on the mouth, remember cheek kisses are normal in France) we have of Julerose and Marcaniel are the ones from the Sleeping Syren endcard. I know we technically have an on screen romantic julerose kiss in El Toro but the screen cuts away-

With Julerose and Marcaniel, the show regularly uses "friend/BFF/partner." Again, *that does not happen with the mlw couples.* Their exact relationship is not clarified on screen like the other couples are. It is queer exclusion, albeit in a subtle way.

girlfriend/boyfriend as their romantic partner. All we have of julerose in that regard is Marinette asking the girls about their boyfriends/girlfriends (I forget the exact line) in Sleeping Syren and we don't get so much as a casual hint like that about marcaniel at all.
