🧠 Case
A 40-year-old presents with new-onset seizures and a longstanding history of recurrent headaches with symptom-free intervals between episodes.

🩻 Imaging Finding
On both T2 and T1 axial MRI sequences, there is a well-circumscribed, multilobulated lesion in the right temporal lobe with a heterogeneous “popcorn” core (on T2) and peripheral hypointense rim (hemosiderin).
The hypointense rim represents old blood, typically seen at the periphery; chronic blood products are dark on MRI because of hemosiderin deposition.
➡️ Classic appearance of a cavernous malformation (cavernoma).

⚡ Likely Cause of Seizures
Temporal-lobe seizures secondary to cavernous malformation.
Chronic microhemorrhages → cortical irritation → epileptogenic focus.
The intermittent headaches likely reflect recurrent small bleeds.
