@AmberlynWhite • cosplay with medieval costumes which to them are just practical comfy clothes
• writing futuristic sci-fi apocalypse stories that we now just call everyday life
• rocks
@RisingPhoenics @angel_sharkie @AmberlynWhite oh true - I'd say ideally this but with a "please" to more clearly convey it's a request and not just asking for information (not to mention it's more polite), probably just a small thing though
@angel_sharkie @AmberlynWhite I think this would actually be better because it sounds more clearly like a request.
leaves less room for "yes I do mind, now what" or "no I wouldn't mind" and then not doing it because it wasn't technically asked.

@DaisyDoodle78@petaluma_shawn@EmilyCRuby@magee_ken exactly. I’ve never heard of having an abortion just to kill someone. people tend to have abortions if they didn’t intend to get pregnant and don’t want children at that time. some are raped, some just aren’t ready. but it’s rarely if ever premeditated.
@DaisyDoodle78@petaluma_shawn@EmilyCRuby@magee_ken that is debatable, but actually a valid viewpoint in my opinion, IF you fight at least as hard for the right to life after birth as before. however, if we’re going with that, one would also be responsible for donating blood and organs and such wherever it would save human lives.
@lindy_treece I was lucky in that I was born into a financially stable and generally supportive family, but many others aren’t. it was almost missed for me too, likely in part because I’m AFAB, but my parents were persistent and I was diagnosed around fifth grade / age 10.
@marymcreasey @lindy_treece if they openly identify that way, then good on you for respecting that! if not, I strongly urge you to avoid person-first language for them until they invite you to do otherwise, as the vast majority of the #ActuallyAutistic community prefers identity first language :)
@petaluma_shawn@EmilyCRuby@magee_ken you have the right to be unvaccinated. you don’t have the right to go out in public unvaccinated. if it’s others’ health and safety you’re risking, it’s not just your body, thus not your choice.
@nathaliejacoby1 I agree that a PERSON’s right to choose is a fundamental right. woman, man, enby, doesn’t matter. if it’s your body you have a right to opt out.
@NeuroRebel no, but probably for different reasons than most. (1) I have a service dog and don’t feel ready to take him on a plane. (2) I don’t have enough mental energy. (3) I don’t want nostalgia for places that would cost a lot to go back to. (4) we’re in a global pandemic!
@NeuroRebel I already miss them. they’re still required where I am, people just don’t care. I wear mine because I value safety over my nostrils being visible.
