గౌరవ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారు అమరావతిలో జరిగిన జగన్నాథ రథయాత్రలో పాల్గొన్నారు. వెంకటపాలెం నుంచి రథయాత్రను ప్రారంభించి, సంప్రదాయం ప్రకారం రథం ముందు బంగారు చీపురుతో శుభ్రం చేసి, రథాన్ని తాడుతో లాగి యాత్రకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. అమరావతి విశ్వనగరిగా అ��ివృద్ధి చెందాలని జగన్నాథస్వామిని ప్రార్థించారు. పూరీ తరహాలో అమరావతిలో తొలిసారి నిర్వహించిన ఈ రథయాత్రలో కేంద్ర మంత్రి డాక్టర్ పెమ్మసాని చంద్రశేఖర్ గారు, మంత్రి శ్రీ పి. నారాయణ గారు, ఎమ్మెల్యే శ్రీ తెనాలి శ్రవణ్ కుమార్ గారు, గుంటూరు జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ శ్రీ సి.యం. సాయికాంత్ వర్మ గారు తదితర ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా గౌరవ ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ ఆధ్యాత్మికతే మన జీవితాల్లో ఒత్తిడిని తగ్గించి మానసిక ప్రశాంతతను అందించే మార్గమని అన్నారు. దేవాలయాలు సమాజంలో శాంతి, సామరస్యాన్ని పెంపొందించే కేంద్రాలని పేర్కొన్నారు. భారతీయ సంస్కృతి, ఉమ్మడి కుటుంబ వ్యవస్థ విలువలను కాపాడాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయాల నిర్మాణంతో పాటు, ఇస్కాన్ మరియు అక్షయపాత్ర ఫౌండేషన్ వంటి సంస్థలతో కలిసి ఆధ్యాత్మికత, ప్రజాసేవ, విద్యార్థుల సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలను మరింత విస్తరించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం కృషి చేస్తుందని తెలిపారు.
