You can think whatever you want about how the Steelers do their business. And they clearly have major problems.
But watching JPJ behave in this manner should repulse anyone who loves the franchise.
The $70M figure wasn’t made up by a fan. Ian Rapoport/NFL Network reported at the time that Pittsburgh’s final offer was 5 years/$70M, with $33M payable over the first two years and $45M over three. You’re right that only ~$10M was fully guaranteed at signing, which is why the guarantee structure was the sticking point. But the reported offer itself wasn’t a fan invention.
The Steelers have let A LOT of talent walk out the door over the years…
- Antonio Brown
- Le’Veon Bell
- Diontae Johnson
- George Pickens
- Joey Porter Jr.
At some point, you have to ask: are the Steelers letting talent go too soon? 🤔

I wish pittsburgh paid their black superstars they drafted just like they pay their white ones they draft .. hate to see porter get traded .. I thought same thing with pickens? TJ Watt is worth every penny tho, so let’s not get it confused .. but something needs to change
T.J. Houshmandzadeh said on his latest pod interview that Joe Burrow is a better QB than Ben Roethlisberger: “Joe Burrow’s better than Ben Roethlisberger. He’s going to be a better quarterback than Ben. At this stage of each other’s career, he’s better. I think Ben had one Super Bowl that the defense won for him. Nah, that was all defense and run game when he won that Super Bowl. Joe Burrow’s better than Big Ben.” #Steelers #NFL
😂😂😂😂 20? On what basis exactly? That your qb isn’t clutch enough to hold on to the football? Or the refs calling bogas hold on 90 yard run? Or your players intentionally trying to hurt the punter 😂😂😂
this is the most clown takeaway from that game i’ve ever seen lol
the game shouldn’t have been close you’re right. the bengals should’ve won by 20 if they didn’t shoot themselves in the foot 10 times
Good to know that bengals fans are still crying. Watch their season derail because they couldn’t beat the mighty Steelers and going to make excuses about this game throughout the season. Next!
Well you see it’s simple: Jamel Dean laid a huge hit on Gesicki, Patrick Queen was also coming over to help pinch. Because of the trajectory in which Gesicki got hit and how hard, you can see his head bobble. Nothing dirty or cause for a penalty. You can see Queen start to lean in with his right shoulder but Gesicki’s head is already bobbling around
Football is a bang bang sport. You can’t expect Queen to just stop his momentum on a whim. You’re showing the clip in slow motion and not regular speed 🤷🏽♀️
Okay great so by this collective logic and weight on strength of schedule...
I look forward to seeing Deshaun Watson and the Browns in the big game this year.
This isn’t even a close game if the Bengals don’t 1) hit the punter, 2) muff a punt inside the opposing red zone.
I’m telling you, just have to learn from the loss and grow.
