All those who are pointing out historical inaccuracies of costumes of #Ramayan the movie, just a reminder that it is mythology. Not historical fact. Creative license and all.
Overheard 2 women at a South Bombay cafe last week saying the protests in India were foreign funded, only 5% of protestors were students and you couldn’t expect ministers to resign for every little thing. SoBo is soon going to float right out of the country and into the sea.
No protest is perfect. For all boomers whining about Gen Z language- get a grip. We weren’t able to protest against anything effectively, so when somebody does it, doff your hat and stop giving useless gyaan. The BJP IT cell normalised abuse…. and is now having to live with it
@ICICIBank Explain to me how you can increase monthly average balance without prior intimation? And why? And 30,000 is the average balance for minor accounts! When I opened the account, I was told it would be 2,500.
@RBI I see a scam brewing here.
I asked @ICICIBank to open two minor accounts. 4 weeks, multiple "verifications", photos, follow up emails and phone calls later, voila! They are still not open. I can smell a sinking ship when I see one. 20 years of association with this bank. For what!
Hi @ICICIBank do you realise I have to take to X in order for your highly incompetent staff to talk to me? Shame on you.
After LOTS of back and forth, they opened the minor accounts. But increased the monthly average balance arbitrarily twice in two months!
Before we get into making a safe examination system, @NandanNilekani must examine the need for any entrance exam. Most exams are territorial power centres and business opportunities.
Take for example CUET. It is the most unnecessary examination Imposed on the hapless Delhi students that made the CBSE scores useless and killed school education. This was done to neutralise the AAP investment in government schools a waste. These kids cannot afford private coaching and a state topper is also denied a seat.
Similarly, NEET is useless for those who want to join a private medical college. The price differential (5 lacs and 1.5 crores) is so huge that at rank 30,000 all government colleges close their admission while even at rank 13 lac, private colleges are unable to fill seats. Private colleges are reserved for the rich 1% of India. If you indeed fighting against reservation and for meritocracy, shouldn’t you include this?
The TET, even JEE advanced, UGC NET etc can be modified to make it a test for those who don’t cross a certain level of education.
We must reduce the entrance exams. We must reduce the number of students who should take the exam. Increase the eligibility. For Ex: Make 80% in boards a qualification to get into all India institutions like AIIIMS, IITs etc. Make school education mandatory. Punish those in dummy schools. Hedge. De-risk. Spread.
Make sure that a 3 hour exam doesn’t become the life altering exam. It will reduce stress. Reduce suicides. The business of entrance exams has to be reformed before we reform the conduct of such exams.
What was most heartening was that every single protester interviewed at Jantan Mantar last week said they don' care about religious or caste divisions among them. Given their socio-economic backgrounds were different from that of the farmers, for instance, some shift, huh?

PM @narendramodi has set a new world record for the most views on an Instagram Reel within 24 hours, with over 303 million views.
The previous record stood at 300 million views.
I am a new mother. Iran-Israel-US war, SIR, high unemployment, rising religious tensions and similar issues kept me awake at night. What kind of world would my kids inhabit. But, protests have given me hope. I can dream again. India has it in its blood to resist injustice.
