"Designers are cooked because of AI."
No, we're getting smarter.
I don't have a business background.
A few years ago, looking at revenue, analytics, conversion rates, and expenses felt overwhelming to me.
Over the past few weeks, I've been pulling data from Analytics, DataFast, PostHog, Polar, and our expenses, then feeding everything into Claude Code.
Now I can quickly see which channels bring in the most revenue.
I can see where people drop off.
I can see what's slowing down growth.
Before AI, I would have spent hours jumping between dashboards and spreadsheets trying to make sense of it all.
Now I connect the MCPs, ask Claude to analyze the data, and get a summary with an action plan.
The data was always there.
I just didn't know how to turn it into useful insights.
AI didn't replace my thinking.
It helped me make better decisions.
What a year to be alive.
Here’s my experience as a @webflow template creator so far.
Just sharing my honest thoughts based on what I've experienced. And yes, I might be a little biased since we also create Framer templates.
The biggest positive for me is that template reviews are much faster.
But honestly, the rest has been pretty stressful.
Our first template got approved, but it never appeared on the marketplace. Since we were a new creator, we had to contact support so they could manually make it visible.
Then we wanted to edit the template page, but there was a bug that completely prevented us from accessing the edit page. We reached out to support, and they fixed it.
Later, our second template got approved. When we tried to edit that one, the exact same thing happened again. The template edit page was blank, and once again we had to contact support to get it fixed.
Most recently, Webflow introduced a requirement to install the Webflow Validator before submitting templates. We installed it, but when we tried to submit, we got an error saying custom scripts were detected that didn't match approved GSAP patterns.
So now I'm back in touch with support again :(
3 templates. 3 support tickets.
At this point, being a Webflow template creator feels surprisingly stressful.
The whole submission and editing experience feels like something from 2015. You need to understand HTML just to properly manage your template listing page, and even simple tasks can end up turning into support tickets.
I really hope Webflow invests more into the creator experience because template creators are helping grow the ecosystem too.
For years I helped other startups and studios to build other people's brands & products.
Today I'm launching mine.

@yashsaydesign As far as I can tell, it’s a one-person agency. We only list agencies with 2 or more team members, and if they’re in the design industry, they must also have a unique design

@DhaniWebsite@webflow Have you tried submitting in the last week? They added a Webflow validator, and when you add the validator, the template submission shows this error: “Custom script detected without approved GSAP patterns.”
So confusing
