3️⃣ Older males showed the highest added costs
4️⃣ We relied on clinical diagnoses—so national costs are likely underestimated.

So many insights from this wonderful panel @TonyaPalermo@KKjaerPetersen & Nicole Tang! The sleep-pain link is undeniable—50-75% individuals with chronic pain have sleep problems. Let’s prioritize sleep in pain management! Also, important evidence on sex differences! #WC2024
The most philosophical but my most anticipated talk in #WC2024 Coming from suicidality research, I started researching pain when I was suffering, and was puzzled that this concept was less mentioned in contemporary pain field. Brilliant panel.
I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to travel to Amsterdam and present at my first international conference! From watching incredible talks to cheese carousels and the chance to see Van Gogh’s art, ty IASP for making it an unforgettable experience #WC2024.
Fascinating data of the global pain landscape & pain demography by Dr. Hanna Grol-prokopczyk’s amazing research team. We need more data from LMICs & for children. #WC2024
