The last time I made a controversial statement on Twitter some guy with a mustache cyberbullied me into changing my profile pic Bc I was wearing white socks
Calling a random Jewish person “filthy”, telling them to “go home”, and mocking their physical features is textbook racism.
If this happened to almost any other minority group, there would be wall-to-wall outrage and condemnation.
Hatred normalised against any group eventually poisons society as a whole.
If you spend all day absorbing nothing but news headlines from X, you will become so mentally decayed that after a while you are barely a human anymore. You will be in a constant state of DEFCON 1.
Everyone is all fired up about this now, but if people took 30 seconds to read further instead of flipping out over a headline they'd see the truth.
The Israeli Hanta case is not the same strain as the one on the cruise. They contracted this in Eastern Europe after a visit there. This isn't spread person to person.
If you read a headline and it's at all interesting to you, take the time to find the actual back story and see if it's something you should be concerned about. Having people turn into Chicken Little, shouting the "The sky is falling!" every time someone posts a headline is getting ridiculous. Politics, the weather or pandemics, just take a few minutes and read past a quick X headline.
The young man on the left is 19-year-old Shalom Lapid. On the right is Mordechai Lapid, a world famous Jewish refusenik who defeated the Soviet Union and risked his life to leave Russia and come to Israel so he can live as a Jew.
On December 6th 1993 a Palestinian car drove by them and sprayed the family car with bullets. The father Mordechai and his son Shalom died from their wounds, and three other children were injured.
The doctor that arrived on the scene was it close friend of the family; his name was doctor Baruch Goldstein.
After his friend died in his hands, many said Goldstein was deeply traumatized by this event.
Thres months later, on February 25th 1995 Goldstein would carry out the most heinous terrorist attack ever carried out by a Jew. He would shoot Muslim worshipers while they were praying in a mosque in Hebron killing 25 Muslim worshipers and injuring over 100.
Goldstein was very rightfully condemned by every single Jewish organization, rabbi, and the Israeli government.
At no point did ANYONE say that "Goldstein had close family friends who died in his hands after being murdered by Palestinians".
Why? Because there is never an excuse for terrorism.
Seeing so many media outlets whitewash the heinous attack on Temple Israel in Michigan is appalling and a direct continuation of what they have done to legitimize the horrors of October 7th carried out against the Jewish state of Israel.
“Mohamed Atta boarded a plane on September 11th, 2001 for what could’ve been a normal flight enjoying the friendly skies.
But his life would drastically change when he found himself in the cockpit of the plane right outside a NYC skyscraper.” - CNN
As a non-Jew who, when I was stationed in Hawaii during my time in the US Navy - I was in a bit of trouble one night and happened to see a building that was open (relatively late - after sunset). It had a Menorah on the side.
I went in and realized it was a Chabad (I didn't really know who that was at the time and they were not in a synagogue. It looked like a complex with offices on the ground level). They were closing out Shabbat.
They asked me to join, and I said, "Oh, I'm not Jewish." When I tell you that they didn't care, it wasn't even a pause. They fed me and allowed me to be a part of their activity. The mother of the rabbi was there, and the Rabbi took down my number and told me if I ever needed anything to ask.
Chabad is an incredible organization that truly spreads light to the world, including to non-Jews!
