Israeli police confirm a British activist was detained in Umm al-Kheir by a Settlement Security Squad member on suspicion of performing an indecent act against a minor.

Police say he was transferred for interrogation, which is “still in its beginning.”

The activist had been conducting a so-called “protective presence” with Palestinians, which is an activist organization known for its propaganda stunts in Judea and Samaria.

Footage circulating online shows him physically gyrating, pressed against a child while holding onto a fence. A separate video shows him inside a structure as a man calls him an “anarchist” and a “pedophile.”

אירוע מורכב בשבת סמוך לקוצרה בשומרון. לפי תושבי גבעת תל תלפ��ות, עשרות ערבים מהכפר קוסרה הגיעו יחד עם צלמי תקשורת זרים במהלך שבת.

הם הניחו מחסומי אבנים וצמיגים בוערים על השבילים שמקיפים את הגבעה וזרקו לעברה אבנים. התושבים דיווחו לצה"ל ולמוקד באופן מיידי.

חלק מהפורעים הגיעו לבית נטוש וזרקו ממנו אבנים. התושבים ניסו להדוף את המחבלים ולא לפגוע בכפר. כשצה"ל הגיע התושבים זזו כדי לא להפריע ללוחמים.

מנגד צה"ל אומר כי המתיישבים זרקו אבנים לעבר הערבים במקום, והתבצרו בבית,שה��ושבים אומרים שהיה נטוש. בנוסף בצה"ל אמרו שיש דיווח על פצועים ערבים.

An Israeli reserve soldier in civilian clothes was beaten, disarmed and abducted by Palestinian Authority police on Sunday night after they set up an illegal roadblock in Area C of Judea and Samaria, according to his attorney. The officers reportedly handcuffed the soldier, took his weapon and drove him into Area A near Ramallah before eventually transferring him to the Israel Defense Forces.

Under the Oslo Accords, Area C is under Israeli municipal and security control, while Area A is under full Palestinian Authority control.

The soldier, who was carrying his personal weapon, was traveling on Sunday night from the Gush Talmonim bloc in the Binyamin region of Samaria toward Route 443 when he encountered a police vehicle blocking the road near the P.A. town of Beitunia.

According to an account provided by his attorney, Chaim Bleicher of the Honenu legal-aid organization, the soldier approached the roadblock to determine whether it was an Israeli security force. He then discovered that the officers were Palestinian Authority police.

The officers reportedly surrounded his vehicle and called additional P.A. police to the scene. They attempted to take his weapon, but the soldier refused to surrender it.

The P.A. officers then pepper-sprayed him in the face and beat him before taking his weapon. They subsequently pulled him from the car, handcuffed him and placed him in a Palestinian police vehicle.

Qatar's Interior Ministry and its Public Prosecution both met earlier this week with Jeanine Ferris Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, during her visit to Doha.

Pirro reportedly discussed security cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, and legal cooperation and the exchange of expertise with Qatar's Public Prosecution office.
