The Dallas Mavericks just lost 800K followers after trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers… but this trade wasn’t about basketball.

Mark Cuban sold the team to the Adelson family—owners of Las Vegas Sands—and now Texas is feeling the pressure.

Vegas odds on the Mavericks relocating were posted back in January 2024. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Texas has stalled on legalizing gambling, and most residents don’t even want casinos.

So this Luka trade? It’s a power move—either Texas legalizes gambling, or the Mavericks pack up for Vegas.

LeBron has even talked about bringing a team to Vegas, and the NBA isn’t likely to expand.

Las Vegas Sands didn’t buy the Mavericks just to own a team—they want the casino, the resorts, and the billions that come with it.
