@AlasdairGold Finally some sense being spoken by the great Ted. I think too many Spurs fans are smarting from the WC loss and the panic we all had last season which was not helped by Romero red cards. He’s a winner
For a decade now we've had to watch fans of England but not Spurs, complain about Harry Kane dropping deep rather than staying in the box.
Along comes Tuchel to say 'No, actually, that's the team's biggest strength.'
Wild how many genuinely outstanding pieces of play Romero does in games, on the ball and defensively, and no one says a thing.
It’s completley ignored, almost like they’re just waiting for him to do something to suit their narrative.
Most goals are scored between 3-6 passes, at all levels. He regularly finds the feet of the furthest man forward, in the middle of the pitch, which triggers attacking an out of shape backline so often.
He’s basically so often the main launch pad for the most consistently dangerous attacks in football.
It's not so much sad as it is infuriating. To my mind this is just about the "right" pockets getting filled. Again.

Rivals crying that Spurs are 'breaking PSR rules' or getting 'Big Six protection' is peak delusion.
You think this financial freedom happened overnight?
Sit down, grab a calculator, and let’s take a chronological walk through 25 years of Levy’s masterclass 👇
1️⃣ Bought land around old WHL bit by bit (years and years of negotiation and planning).
2️⃣ Maintained a strict wage structure that cost us targets but saved our future.
3️⃣ Sold stars for premium profit (Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, Bale, Walker, Kane).
4️⃣ Literally went through back-to-back ZERO-purchase transfer window. This was under Poch when we were knocking on the door of the PL title and reacihng a CL final. We bled so we could run.
5️⃣ Built a world-class stadium that prints non-football revenue 365 days a year (NFL, concerts, boxing). Re-financed the stadium over long term investment tranches so that the non-football revenue pays for it and then some.
We didn’t cheat the system; we built a system that safeguards us against the financial parameters that all clubs have to work within.
If you're going to cry, educate yourself and then point it at Chelsea and Man City - those are the only two clubs that broke rules and got away with it. They are the very reason the rules are in place now.
We are massive.
The shackles are off.
Deal with it 🤍
