Went out to Cullinan Park this morning. The water level was really low so I was limited a bit on what I saw.
Did see a nice family of Black Bellied Whistling Ducks though.
To be fair here, while Austin is IN Texas, it’s not really representative of Texas. Austin is pretty unique in the state.
I do agree, most cities have HOA’s and I see them as somewhat of a necessary evil. If you really want to do whatever you want, you really need to get land.
Gun Storage:
Here’s my take,
I have a safe, two actually, they hold guns, paperwork, and other important shit. The guns in the safe are guns that are not used everyday, which is why they have a spot in the safe.
Then there’s the guns I use every day of my life, those guns have holsters, or slings. Those guns stay in holsters, and keep their slings on them. Those guns have places they go, but they aren’t in safes. One of those guns is nearly always within arms reach, and if I’m out of my house you can bet it’s on me whether you can see it or not.
Firearms are tools, no different than a hammer, or a screwdriver, they’re just meant for different work, like safety, and providing food.
And your home is YOUR home, the government should have no say in what you do in your home, especially not in how you store your personal, and home defense items.
Your primary method of firearms storage should be a holster on your belt, or a sling around your torso.
Those self and home defense firearms should be easy to grab, and put into action at a moments notice.
I live rurally, I’m more likely to have a bear or lion encounter than have a human try to attack me, and I always have a firearm nearby. If I lived in a city there wouldn’t be anywhere I ever went without a firearm on my body, crime is insanely higher in cities, especially more populated cities with liberal city managers who allow violent criminals to run the streets.
Example, in my little town I’m comfortable grabbing a little 7 shot .380 and going to any store around here, even Walmart. 😆
However, if I drive north to Pueblo, Colorado Springs, or Denver nothing less than a 15 shot Hi Power is going with me, and likely there’s a 300 BLK in the truck too. Why? Because the cities are more dangerous, and the politicians here have tied law enforcements hands. You are your own first responder in Colorado, period.
These mandatory gun storage laws are meant to disarm you, to make you an easy target, and ultimately to disarm all Americans.
In the mean time violent criminals walk freely among society, violent illegals are given food stamps, free rent, and free run of the cities, and the corrupt politicians who made our cities more dangerous continue to pocket tax dollars like glutinous overlords while screaming that Americans are racists for wanting to be able to go to the park without a homeless drug addict running nude around the playground with a knife screaming shit about aliens, and the second coming of Beetlejuice.
Stay strapped, stay vigilant, and Keep That PMA !

@SevierlyBlessed Fort Davis is awesome. We’ve been going there since the ‘90’s when we lived in Midland.
Love it so much we bought a place there last year.
@smcroasters Saw that article yesterday. Made me want to subscribe to Newsweek just so I could cancel my subscription.
We can’t hate these people enough.
@EdwardJDavey You’re definitely focused on the wrong thing.
If I were you, I’d do something about all the immigrants committing all the crimes before your people come for you.
