@DKThomp 100%. You can pull all the longevity levers you want… if you don’t have a sense of purpose and a small group of friends you see often… is your plan going to be “successful”? Probably not.
World Cup is exactly what this country needed…
Foreigners mostly in awe of the American experience.
Basically showing everyone that our politicians are just here to divide & conquer by telling you how bad things are.
So refreshing to see some genuine positivity & optimism.
@hjluks Friend of mine has done this recovery 4x...2x with the left, 2x right. It's a brutal recovery, but I know you can do it. Hang in there. BTW- the friend is 200 lbs overweight, you are not. You've 100% got this for sure! Sight is worth it.
@OkimotoKyle@realEstateTrent True! Taught my kid self-advocation is key. Make the ask! Inform teacher/boss/interviewer of your value add! If I said no to something, instead of whining, he was allowed to say "May I have an alternative?"-which was hilarious when he could barely pronounce that. He often got it!
@porterstansb You can be an outlier and chart your own successful path in Boston,NYC or anywhere else no matter where you went to school. Look at Cuban and MANY others.
@porterstansb@cs_08_12 If "most elite opps in Boston and New York" are what you want for ur kids, great, but there are other paths.Went to state school, W2 more impressive than my elite law firm friend(Harvard grad), BIL from another top law firm(Yale grad), and SIL top finance firm(Columbia MBA grad).

@AcdntlyRetired Zero more or we remove their dignity&sense of accomplishment. We'd be kinda showing we don't believe they've got it in them to take their ball &run w/it. Time to let them succeed/fail on their own&learn from what comes with that. Maybe fund a family vacay w them occasionally.
@JohnLeFevre KEEP#5-Took mom to lovely Michelin starred place for her 85th bday-definitely worth it for special occasion
KEEP#9 Stevie Nicks,Journey,Elton
KEEP#10-Personal trainers for limited time after major life event, like post-pregnancy,post retirement, etc, can be a great kick-starter.
@myersbradley@GenXmillionaire@MarketPalmer_ Yes. Moving from "I have to, I need to", towards "I want to, I get to" is liberating! Whatever ur 'career retirement' looks like, there's so much to discover about yourself. In the busyness of careers there's little time for self-reflection. Freedom is shoved into occasional PTO
