@_MaccaNZ This is sad. My mum died from bowel cancer at 46, and it could have been avoided. 16 months the tumour was growing, and everytime she went to the doc, they'd give her gastro pills. This is also why everyone should get second opinions if you know something isn't right.

My latest stint in hospital, I ended up rooming with an elderly lady. Her husband had passed, her kids live overseas and she has no family here in the Bay. I got emotional thinking of my own parents. There is no way they would have been on their own.

Off to Brisbane in August for Queensland Masters. Was contemplating taking sister with me, purely because I need a break lol but I can't leave her home so booked her ticket last night. Told her she needs to buck up her ideas otherwise I'll leave her in Auckland 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

For years, I hated Mother's Day. I used to drink on the Saturday, bypass the whole of Sunday and wake up on Monday. It was always so painful for me. NGL it took me a long time, and growth to accept the fact my Mum was gone. It's different now ☺️
