Had an interactive discussion, along with Pakistan’s HL delegation, with the Egmont, the Royal Institute of International Relations in Brussels, where the rule of law still matters. Shared how India’s “new abnormal” under Modi justifies missile strikes and nuclear brinkmanship, no proof and on mere suspicion, violating Pakistan’s sovereignty, recklessly firing BrahMos missiles at civilian infrastructure. Expressed deep concern over India’s illegal suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, collective punishment of 240M Pakistanis, cloaked in the rhetoric of “terrorism.”
Despite provocations, Pakistan has exercised restraint, fulfilled FATF reforms, and partners with the EU, US & UK on countering terrorism, all of whom recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices and concrete actions against terrorism, while India rejects dialogue, mediation, and even evidence.
This isn’t just a regional issue, it strikes at the heart of the global rules-based order, human rights, and climate security. #PakistanForPeace
