Luckily for you, I can recognize when I make a mistake. I should have done more research before jumping to conclusions to the basic info.
Other than that, it doesn't change the big picture of things in Adam's writing or his poorly executed relationship with Lute.

...the actual commentary says that in the storyboard he was glazed over, but Viv insisted for the smile because she wanted him to have one last moment with Lute, because "They've had each other for so long and they didn't think this would ever happen". It did have meaning.

@TeenWerewolf31 Some people are doing legworks and cope takes. We can see Adam and Lute being close by their corporal lenguage, but the problem is that Adam is an one trick pony, one little scene with him smiling doesn't change this.

Since they confirmed that as a narcissist Adam doesn't have any insecurity (like with the mask theory), they didn't only never put him emotions but also never addressed his narcissism. Adam is more plain than a white paper.
