We don't need freebies. Please spend more money in Capital Expenditure. It will give long term returns.

Tamil Nadu has made a slow start in capital expenditure during Q1 FY 2026–27. I hope this will change after new budget of TN
✅Annual capex budget: ₹59,603 crore
✅Spent up to June: ₹3,294 crore
✅Utilisation: 5.53%

Top 3 states:
▪️Kerala capex spent - 36.41%
▪️Madhya Pradesh - 18.21%
▪️Andhra Pradesh - 16.61%.
However, this is only the first quarter. What matters now is whether Tamil Nadu accelerates spending in Q2 and Q3.

Delayed capex means delayed roads, hospitals, irrigation projects, jobs and economic activity.

A gold ring for every newborn.

This is not welfare. This is taxpayer-funded election jewellery.

Hospitals need doctors, nurses, ICU beds, medicines, neonatal care, ambulances and clean wards not gold-ring politics.

When public health needs investment, wasting hundreds of crores on symbolic freebies is daylight robbery of taxpayers’ hard-earned money.

The Tamil Nadu State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) has revoked the environmental clearance granted to Brigade Enterprises for its high rise residential towers (Brigade Morgan Heights project) in Perumbakkam, which affects the Pallikaranai Marshland, a designated Ramsar wetland site.

Tamil Nadu has the largest number of Ramsar sites in India.

There have been huge public protests against the high rise towers encroaching on the Ramsar site. The company had continued construction despite the controversy. With today’s order from the state environment authorities, the real estate project has been cancelled.
