The USMNT are in the World Cup knockout stage after topping the group, they’re receiving a lot of support from Americans, and even the USMNT kits are running out of stock.
U.S. Soccer CEO JT Batson talks about capitalizing on the World Cup fever 🗣️
“There is an incredible demand for the U.S. jerseys,” Batson said.
“They're iconic, they're a ton of fun, and even though Nike produced way more than they ever had before, they have been hot items all across the country.
“More broadly, we view the opportunity we have now, this World Cup, the LA Olympics, and hopefully the Women's World Cup in 2031, to have a similar impact on the growth of this sport as we did in ‘94, the Atlanta Olympics in '96, and then the Women's World Cup in '99.
“And if you think about what soccer was like in '94 relative to where we are now, imagine what it can look like in the future with all this excitement.
“And, you know, we're excited about using this as a way of getting more soccer in schools, getting soccer in more communities across the country, getting more commercial investment in our sport, getting more government philanthropic investment in our sport.
“And so lots of exciting progress, and we know that the best days for soccer in this country are ahead.
“We've always viewed this as an opportunity for Americans to fall in love with this team.
“And I think we’ve done that and folks are excited. You know, being in the Seattle stadium when everyone was singing Country Roads was pretty special.
“And I think the sort of collective energy of that and the 15,000 people who all marched together to the game, just the pride, the passion has been awesome.
“More broadly, we've always viewed this summer as an opportunity, the World Cup being here, as an opportunity to get organizations, communities, individuals to take the big steps forward to propel soccer in this country.
“So as an example, before our first game in LA, we announced with LA Unified School District that they're committing to put soccer in every school, so it's 400,000 kids who now are going to have access to soccer.
“We’re working with communities all across the country to do that, with our goal of by 2032, every school in America having soccer.
“And so it's those sort of movements, those sort of, you know, actions that we believe are going to propel soccer forward for generations and generations to come.”

“We have to play our starters to get 9 pts! Idiot coach just punted on a World Cup game.”
This stat tells you all why Poch did this. He demands a ton of work and effort from our guys and we only have like 12 who are reliable.
That rest is gonna be a life saver.
If we lose to Bosnia just because a reporter gave them "motivation" about her not knowing where their country is on the map, then we don’t deserve to be in the Round of 32.
@JayHrndz2 100% and we need heroic defending and elite tactics to contain Belgium and QF opponent.
Bosnia scared me if we don’t get an early goal. If we can do that I think game opens up in our favor
Pulisic has looked so good this entire camp going back to the friendlies.
Every time he’s on field we are flying and he’s just creating chance after chance.
At the end of the day any hopes we have rest in this man balling out… all signs point to this happening.
Anyway, the backups had their chance so moving on to the next game.
This is the best USMNT starting XI and this is definitely how we’ll be lining up against Bosnia.
With how talented the upcoming generation is, don’t be surprised if a lot of these backups that played tonight aren’t on the USMNT World Cup roster in 2030.
BREAKING: U.S. Soccer has presented USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino a proposal to extend for a second World Cup cycle, running until 2030.
Conversations have been ongoing for several months but any decisions will be made after the 2026 World Cup finishes.

People love creating problems that literally just don't exist. If USA manages to win the World Cup that would be the greatest thing ever to happen to the future of everything American soccer. Overnight it would make soccer mainstream and everything would benefit, not just USMNT.
