Unpopular opinion… 87 Driving Dunk is the SWEET SPOT in NBA 2K26. 😤🔥

My 6’4 Steph Curry build only has an 87 Driving Dunk, and honestly… it feels like a 90+ dunk.

I don’t see the point of putting 99 Driving Dunk on a guard this year.

Especially when 2K randomly takes away your dunk meter on certain drives. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I’d rather save those attributes for:
🎯 Shooting
🎮 Ball Handle
🛡️ Defense

Question for the 2K community…

🏀 Was 87 Driving Dunk the perfect value this year?
🤔 Or is 99 Driving Dunk actually worth the attribute cost?

At first I wasn’t sure about it, but after playing with it, I actually like the new green catch feature. It rewards timing and makes catching the ball feel more skill-based.

I went with a 96 Mid-Range instead of chasing a higher 3-ball, and it gave me Legend Shifty Shooter.

Honestly…

A 96 Mid-Range feels better than a 96 Three Ball. 🤯

Why?

🎯 Better fades.
🎯 Better step-backs.
🎯 Better hop jumpers.
🎯 More ways to create your own shot.

Ever since they nerfed deep fading 3s after Season 1, shot creators haven’t had the same freedom.

Question for the 2K community…

Should 2K27 bring back deep fading 3s and reward players who master difficult shots?

Or should they keep fades limited to stop cheesy gameplay?

Most centers go all-in on standing dunk…

I went with:
💥 95 Driving Layup (Legend Float Game)
🚀 87 Driving Dunk
💪 94 Defensive Rebound
🦘 90 Vertical

I wanted a center that could finish with floaters, euros, and crafty layups instead of just mashing dunks.

Now let’s talk about 2K27…

I use both shooting styles.

🏀 Catch-and-shoot = Square Button
🎯 Fades, hop jumpers & spin jumpers = Rhythm Shooting

But if I had to choose, I’m taking the Square Button every time. The stick can feel inconsistent, and sometimes it doesn’t register the way I want.

What should 2K27 do?

🎮 Keep Rhythm Shooting?
❌ Remove it and go back to button shooting only?
