Darren Pratley - a big unit in midfield, this man would cover every blade of grass, which was handy because he couldn't do much else. Part of the Swansea team that rose through the leagues, he later went in the opposite direction with Bolton. Still going at 38, fair play.
Adam Le Fondre - a journeyman poacher, this man was a thorn in the side of every EFL team he played against. Prolific spells at Rochdale, Stockport and Rotherham led him to sign for Reading, who he helped to the Prem. Later a Wanderer at Bolton, he's still plugging away at Hibs
Craig Mackail-Smith - one of the first huge sales that Peterborough made, this man was absolutely lethal for a good while. Started in non-league with St Albans and Dagenham, before his iconic spell with the Posh led to a big money move to Brighton. Certified bagsman.
Miguel Llera - a Spanish centre back who loved free kicks? Sounds like a cult hero to me. This man came to England with Charlton, but he found a true home with Sheffield Wednesday, helping them to promotion in 11/12. Huge fan of wearing a black headguard and scoring from 30 yards
Clinton Morrison - A serious bagsman with Palace and Birmingham, Clinton was guaranteed a goal against your team whenever he turned up in the 00s. Later pitched up at Coventry, Wednesday, Colchester and Exeter, and can now be found being very excited on Sky Sports. Poacher.
Leroy Lita - a poacher extraordinaire, this man scored tap ons for fun. Started at Bristol City, before helping that iconic Reading side to 106 points. Turned up later at Swansea, Middlesbrough, Wednesday and Barnsley, but was never quite the same as in his younger days.
Ishmael Miller - a serious journeyman, this fella bulldozed his way through defences at will, before usually missing the target. His Championship stints included West Brom, Forest, Boro, Huddersfield and Yeovil, where he'd seemingly fail to score against anyone but your team.
Heidar Helguson - arguably the world's shortest target man, this Icelandic international was a pain in the arse for every defender he came up against. Spearheaded promotion campaigns for Cardiff and QPR, as well as bagging for Watford, Fulham and Bolton. Worker.
Danny Shittu - an absolute mountain of a centre half, this man was a Championship striker's worst nightmare, playing for QPR, Watford, Bolton and Millwall. You could try taking the piss out of his last name, but looking at him, who'd be that stupid? Machine.
Marcus Tudgay - a proper workhorse striker, this man bagged goals for Sheffield Wednesday, Derby, Coventry and Forest among others. Best known for scoring an absolute screamer at Bramall Lane in the Steel City Derby. 'It's absolutely world class from Marcus Tudgay'
Lee Tomlin - what a footballer, for 5 minutes at a time before he needed a breather. This enigma of a #10 couldn't and wouldn't run, but by god he could shoot, pass and dribble. Took the piss for Boro, Bristol City, Cardiff and Peterborough among others. Maestro.
Lewis Buxton - a steady full back with a wicked cross, this classically EFL defender bossed the right hand side for Stoke, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and most notably Sheffield Wednesday, where he helped them get promoted back out of League One. The White Cafu
Paddy Kenny - a shot-stopper who always carried a bit of timber, this man was best known for following Neil Warnock round like a lost dog, turning up with him at Bury, Sheffield United, QPR, Leeds and Rotherham. It clearly worked, as he got to the Premier League twice. Wide load.
Alan Lee - if you wanted 20 a season, this Irishman wasn't your man, but if you wanted to a bloke to run the channels, he was the one. Played for Ipswich, Palace and Huddersfield among others, and could always be relied on to bag against your team and seemingly no one else. Lump.
Chris Brown - your typical football league big man, this fella started at Sunderland, got in trouble for a sex tape, did a decent job for PNE and Donny, then went to Blackburn and became their greatest ever striker. Now class on Undr the Cosh. Defensive forward.
Rob Jones - possibly the most League 1 centre back ever, this man headed owt that moved for his entire career, which being 6'7 wasn't too hard. Captained Wednesday and Donny to promotion from the third tier, as well as helping Hibs to the Scottish Cup. Man-mountain.
Kevin Ellison - known for being one of the biggest characters in the FL, this man spent his early days at clubs like Hull and Rotherham before becoming an icon at Morecambe. He was released after a bust-up with manager Derek Adams, but had the last laugh with this goal. Shithouse
Lee Camp - this bloke is one of the worst keepers ever seen in the Championship, with a guaranteed 10 howlers a season. Has 'starred' for seemingly every club in the league, with notable spells at Derby, QPR, Forest, Rotherham and Birmingham, where he pulled off this wonder save
Lloyd Doyley - the most Steady Eddie full back ever, this bloke spent 14 years at Watford, helping them win promotion twice. He was also prolific in front of goal, scoring a huge TWO goals in 395 league games. Propa defender
Steve Kabba - he was born at palace, but he was made at the Blades. Steve Kabba wasn’t a man, he was THE MAN. A true nostalgic hero is Steve, he even helped the blades get promotion to the premier league. What a bloke.
