@jeffcannata Not only that, but I’ve listened to several Malazan read-thru podcasts, and you two do an AMAZING job. @Latienie is VERY good at pulling meaning out of what she’s reading and discussing it in a way that gets at the underlying themes, as do you Jeff! Loving it.

@murray_mint5 @jeffcannata I think the point was more just that Apple products are FAMOUSLY expensive, and that is arguably part of what helps maintain their perceived value as quality/fashion/status items, and has certainly never stopped their success before.

@jeffcannata @Latienie (I also tend to think that it doesn’t fully open up in scope until the second book, where the author really hits their stride. and that anyone who can’t get in to the first can TOTALLY skip to the second and then catch up on the first later once they’re addicted)

@jeffcannata @Latienie YES!! I decided a couple years ago that Malazan is my favorite fantasy series ever written. It is BEYOND epic. I still barely understand what a Warren is…but that’s ok!! It’s best to let the strange world just wash over you.

@sevard_montreal @jeffcannata I finally got around to reading it and got to the last two or three chapters of Hyperion and then misplaced my copy somewhere in my house and haven’t been able to find it for a month+. Driving me crazy!!
