Retired Able Seaman Marty Jones was honoured before last night's Oilers game.
He was there on June 6th, 1944, at Juno Beach on D-Day.
Thank you to you and all the men and women for your service, and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We saw a couple of spectacular goals tonight from the @EdmontonOilers Connor McDavid.
But we all know who the real hero was in the building tonight!
100 year old Marty Jones from Lamont, Alberta who was there on D-Day!
Downtown Saturday Night is a mural that depicts what life was like in small town Saskatchewan about 75 years ago. It can be found on the side of the Tim Hortons building in Kipling.
So JD Vance thinks Zelenskiy needs to get on his knees and thank the US for its financial support.
Has Vance ever thanked Canada for the $18 billion and 158 lives we spent fighting America's war in Afghanistan?
Let's ask his buddy @jamiljivani.
I authored books on Wayne Gretzky. I covered him for a decade in Edmonton in the WHA and NHL and extensively after he departed. I have viewed him as the greatest player in history and as a great Canadian. He needs to face the nation and explain his relationship with Donald Trump.
Dear @PressSec
Could you kindly inform @realDonaldTrump that dinner is ready?
P.S. As someone who did your job for a decade for former Canadian Prime Minister Harper, I can tell you—this morning, your youth and inexperience got the best of you. Underpromise and overdeliver.
Oh. No means no by the way.
And since @JDVance1 was feeling snippy too… how about them Canadian apples?
The U.S. walks the walk.
But Canada talks the talk.
We are the champions! 🇨🇦
You’re not.
Gretzky:
Enters through US bench
Gives thumbs up to US players
Wears no red or NOTHING repping Canada
Doesn’t even look Team Canada’s way
He’s a traitor & MAGA coward
Good riddance.
