#MusicMonday Oct. 5, 1962, @thebeatles launched the UK release of their debut single, “Love Me Do.” It spent 26 weeks on the #pop charts & later appeared on the band’s debut album. Released in the US a year and a half later, it went straight to No.1.

Join us today in wishing Randy Bachman a very happy birthday!

As one of the principal songwriters and lead guitarists of The Guess Who, Randy helped create some of the band’s most memorable songs. After exiting the band in 1970, he went on to co-found Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

Six decades later, Randy is still hitting the road playing those hit songs. Here’s to an incredible career and many more years of rock ’n’ roll!

This week's #FridayFeeling #guitar post: Merle Travis & Ed Bickert who I played w/here in the 70's. Les Paul was going to join us for this doc on CBC but was sick & had to cancel. Here's "By the Light of the Silvery Moon". Have a great #weekend everybody! #guitarist #musician

Until we see you next….

#TBT To Rolling Stone 1975, "They call us a loud, thundering wall of monotony. Well, that’s what we are. That’s what Deep Purple is. That’s what Led Zeppelin is. That’s what Creedence was. Everything’s monotonous. Who cares? BTO II & Not Fragile are platinum."#musician #guitarist

My secret? It's pretty simple. #Family, routine, eating right, doing what you love-for me that's music, & moving every day. I swim and do physio & massage. Those things are hard to do on the road so it's what I appreciate most about being home. #musician #guitarist #aging #life
