A woman in the US hired a babysitter to look after her baby while she went to work. During her shift, she decided to check her home security cameras. What she saw immediately filled her with dread.

The babysitter was fast asleep on the couch. The baby wasn’t anywhere in sight, but the mum could hear her crying through the camera.

She quickly realised the baby was upstairs. Desperate, she tried speaking through the camera to wake the babysitter but there was no response. She then triggered the alarm siren in the house, yet the babysitter still didn’t move.

Moments later, the unthinkable happened. The baby came tumbling down the stairs. Even then, the babysitter remained asleep.

Panicked and hysterical, the mum called the police while racing home. When officers arrived at the house, it was only their knocking at the door that finally woke the babysitter.

Shockingly, she acted as though nothing had happened. She showed no remorse, and later even messaged the mum asking to be paid for her time.

The case is now with the authorities.
