The ability to respectfully disagree, reject disrespect and disengage is POWERFUL.
Some people don’t see their limits/disrespect as such and that’s okay.
If you have:
- Addressed this with them before.
- Communicated your position well.
- Gave them time to pivot.
Disassociate without yelling or fighting.
Anger and frustration can destroy what you’ve built. Here’s what you do….
If they’re still operating in a manner you find distasteful, it won’t improve. It’s their habit.
Know that this will be a forever issue between you both and it will not change.
If you struggle to do this without getting angry simply say THIS to yourself:
“They view their actions in ways I don’t and have that right. I have the right to fall back.”
Simple. Clean. Solutionary.
