@ianw2000uk @implausibleblog I agree. No discussion. UNLESS there is an arrangement for resource sharing that can be offset for tax. Such as labs, pools, grounds, school trips, etc. This would justify a ‘social enterprise’ element to their businesses.

@robjoe11 @implausibleblog Unfortunately individual success stories such as yours are not common enough in certain parts of the country. If you are in a class of 30-40 it is highly likely you will be missed by the teacher. If you are in a minority group even more so. Parental involvement is key to success

Also working hard and working smart are 2 totally different concepts, often based on education attainment, opportunities, etc. However with the amount of U.K. schools closing due to falling numbers, any private sch exodus might be ok.

@StigOfTheDumpUK A prime example of when he stands on principle, armed with facts, & accepts no alternative view was his anti apartheid work. Stellar work. On Palestine I would probably say similar. He is good at injustice, at calling hypocrisy, his memory is solid.

Listening to George Galloway on @LBC @NickFerrariLBC & although the man is a shameful self serving opportunist, I have to admit he is a master orator. Sharp, witty, & can deliver succinct sound bites. I don’t agree with much of his rhetoric, but he is highly skilled. Respect due

But he’ll go to any area of the country, places he has no links or history at all & limelight

@StigOfTheDumpUK Take Tony Blair for example. You can have a conversation about New Labour quite rightly criticising things like Iraq & PPP. But still acknowledge the good things like Sure Start, tax credits, NHS investment. He can’t do that. And he’s like that, on pretty much any topic.

@StigOfTheDumpUK @LBC @NickFerrariLBC For me he’s a bit like Farage, but more slippery as he’ll move location, switch allegiancs, do whatever is required to have his spot in the limelight.
You can’t have a level headed convo with that type of person because they don’t see value in an opinion other than their own.
