A South African non profit organisation providing rape survivors and communities with support, access to justice and counselling. 24-hour helpline: 021 447 9762
We’re committed to creating a world where survivors know they’re not alone. A world where their voices are met with care, compassion, and support. We’ll continue showing up and standing with survivors every step of the way. 💙
Today, we came together at our Observatory office for our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). It was an opportunity to reflect on the work and impact of the past financial year and to look towards the priorities and opportunities ahead.
Thank you to the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Cape Town, Observatory Improvement District, @WesternCapeGov, @2U_education, Wellbeing Architects, @NPA_Prosecutes, Red Cross, @sparrowsociety, Karl Bremer TCC, Grassroots, and all who joined us.
You deserve a safe, supportive space where you can speak without judgement. Our trained counsellors provide free, confidential counselling to survivors of sexual violence.
Kinda chic to believe survivors, respect boundaries, challenge victim-blaming and care about consent.
Let’s keep having the conversations that help create safer communities for everyone.
Every survivor deserves timely access to quality post sexual violence care, regardless of where they live.
Thuthuzela Care Centres (TCCs) provide specialised medical, forensic, and psychosocial services that are critical following sexual violence.
As government continues to strengthen South Africa's post sexual violence care system, we call on decision-makers to explore innovative, survivor-centered solutions, including mobile TCC units, as part of expanding equitable access to post sexual violence care across the country.
