Elizabeth

I will never escape it. Exploited, exploiting. It's like a wheel of blood spinning round and round.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics "So let these creatures of the underworld dance!" The masses of feathers, masks and dresses then cheer as they swallow Cohen whole, returning to their drunken deeds and carelessness.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics crazed fans mingle about the floor recklessly. Men and women adorned in feathers and masks and heavy theater makeup.* What do you suppose will happen tonight?

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics Cohen then effortlessly returns to a grand stance, voice boisterous. "But the lady is right, my pets! This is a night of jubilation! Of art!" He points to the crowd. "Of seduction!" He growls playfully, and the woman giggle and raise their noses.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics "You cannot fool me, little Songbird.." Her jaw tightens as he leans in closer for just her to hear. He whispers something into her ear as she looks to the floor. Shen then shoots him a glance and crosses her arms, facing away.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics The more she seems uncomfortable the further he'll push. He gazes down at her with a bit of distaste, hands falling back down slowly. His fingers curling and rubbing together as if discarding of crumbs. There is a pause before he starts to speak, voice low.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics Elizabeth sighs into a forced smile and rests a hand on Cohen as a way to coax him back down. "Cohen, while I appreciate your...guidance, we were just hoping to have a simple night out together." She tries to shrug off the building tension smoothly.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics Cohen tonight for the sake of them both, but mostly for Robert. Because it would seem Cohen has taken a disliking to him, which worries her deeply. Elizabeth knows the horrors of Cohen's boredom of people firsthand.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics a few laughing in extension of him. Elizabeth's face however is in a bit of a grimace at the comparison. "Please don't." He places a hand at her waist and leads her away slightly from her dance partner. She glances back at him as if to tell him to stay put. She needed to appease

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics the artist released a jaunty laugh. He pinched and twirled the sharp hair on his upper lip mischievously as if aware of what he was doing. "Is it not like a father to want to embarrass his daughter every now and then?" The crowd seems to sigh silently as the tension is released,

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics faces, but she doesn't pay it any mind. She more or less knew the boundaries of her and Cohen's relationship. She knew though that he could choose to twist those boundaries on a whim simply depending on his mood at that moment. Her confidence in the situation was solidified when

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics The woman takes a silent breath to herself and rests a hand on the artists' shoulder in a friendly gesture. Her stature now relaxed and calm. "Oh Cohen it is just like you to come crash the lovely night I was having." Elizabeth can sense the tenseness that freezes over the masked

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics then turning away and continuing their playful chatter. Cohen then turns to Robert, taking another step closer as he unabashedly analyzes him. "And you brought a friend..."

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics in this crowd. As if reading her mind he brings a painted nail to tap against his temple. "I've got eyes and ears everywhere." She swallows and averts her gaze slightly, wondering if she was being too obvious. In the corner of her eye she caught the masked faces staring silently

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics them, arms out in with his usual heavy grandeur. "My little Songbird has come to join the party!" Elizabeth had stopped her movements, her hands slowly falling down her partners chest. This was to be expected she supposes, but she didn't really expect him to find her so quickly

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics A smile begins to form on her lips. "I would li-" Elizabeth suddenly notices the stillness around them. Her eyes skim the faces whispering to each other, looking in their direction until landing on a familiar one. Her mouth closes dryly at Cohen's grinning face as he steps up to-

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics And she may have taught herself to be something different than what she used to be long ago. But what she couldn't change was the emotion of her eyes. She gazes up at him shy and pure, bashfully hidden under her dark lashes. Her eyes were her truest self.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics "Goodness, my brilliant Robert acting like a school boy." Elizabeth teases him quietly, trying to hide the nervous giddiness building in her stomach. Having him close and intimate again felt so comforting. She may have grown; behavior and body. -

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics She bites her bottom lip, turning away as well for a moment then back at him. Their movements still slow and close, making little circles around the dim dance floor. "It is." She says softly. Her fingertips starts to play with the small hairs on the back of his neck. -

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics While the others snag their share of the mysterious drink, Elizabeth gazes up at the man in front of her, admiring his gentle freckles and broad shoulders.

[Elizabeth @RaptureLamb]

@DrownedPhysics Hidden by the face of a rabbit, waiters make their way through the crowds, holding a platter of shot glasses containing just a thin drop of green liquid. -
