The strength of our economy lies in the thousands of small businesses that drive growth and create opportunities across our islands. On #MSMEDay, we recognise their contribution to building a stronger and a more resilient Maldivian economy.
Through Maldives 2.0, we are expanding access to finance, digital tools, infrastructure, and global markets. From cultural centres supporting heritage entrepreneurs to the Creator Hub, SME Digital financing, and international market access through Alibaba and PayPal, we are creating new pathways for growth and success.
Our commitment is clear; opportunities must be accessible to all. As we dedicate 2026 and 2027 to advancing SMEs, we remain focused on building an economy where every entrepreneur has the support needed to thrive.
As we celebrate Olympic Day, we honour the athletes, coaches, and young dreamers who remind us that greatness begins with determination, exceptional self-discipline, and remarkable courage.
Today is a powerful reminder that every journey starts with a single step. We remain committed to creating opportunities for young people to embrace sport and physical activity, helping them develop confidence, perseverance, and realise their full potential.
May sport continue to empower our youth, strengthen our nation, and build bridges of friendship among people and countries around the world.

On this World Environment Day, let us remind ourselves that our future is inseparable from the health of our planet. As a Small Island Developing State standing at the frontline of climate adversities, we are cognisant of the urgent need to protect and preserve our environment.
We reaffirm our nation's commitment to advancing ambitious climate actions, including the Project Solar City initiative, strengthening disaster preparedness and early-warning systems, and promoting community-based adaptation and ecosystem protection methods.
The planetary crises we face today driven by climate change are affecting people, ecosystems, and natural resources worldwide. Addressing these challenges requires global action focused on climate adaptation, mitigation, and sustainable practices supported by greater awareness and shared responsibility. Let us all work together to protect and preserve our environment for a safer and more prosperous future.

On this #GlobalDayofParents, we honour the selfless commitment of parents whose lifelong sacrifice nurtures the foundation of our families. Their love and resilience shape future generations, the strength of our nation, and we stand together for parents in recognizing their vital role in Maldivian society.
This administration remains steadfast in supporting parents and protecting every child’s future, by investing in education, healthcare, and community programs that uphold the Maldivian tradition of family as the cornerstone of our society.
