"Bret actually suggested that he forfeit the title before going to WCW ... at a time when WWF was getting their ass kicked by WCW. Nothing would have made WWF look weaker at the time. How can anyone defend that?"
Imagine someone doing that in 97. How would they have survived?
New on the @BTSheetsPod feed: We're making the 1st ep. of our new 7-week Patreon series, Destination Cancellation, about the 2014-2015 TNA spiral, available for free! And this version also includes an intro previewing next week's return of the free show! https://t.co/BawUVBiaMG
Another fake story being spread. Karl Stern could probably elaborate but Lincoln never did a wrestling match per se, he did have a few fights when he was younger where wrestling could have been involved in the fights. The 300 wrestling matches story is totally fake. https://t.co/FK9wvp5t00
@geoffschwartz Fox had played in 1 postseason before this and for 7 games. The Kings have also been a dumpster fire of an organization under Vivek. Would anybody who played heavily for them in the last 10 years be a heavily valued veteran in terms of leadership and experience?
@IANdrewDiceClay Hall also legit had a knee injury, so it made sense to work that quickly into the match format and story. On his old podcast, Bret mentioned that Razor got more input for their KOTR match, so that's perhaps more of what they'd have called.
@JESnowden Larry Nelson "Stranglehold", Stan Hansen "The Last Outlaw"; Richard Vivek "Bruiser"; Ron Mullinax "Fritz Von Erich Master of the Iron Claw", Marc Mero"Badd to Good"; James Dixon "Titan Shrinking"; Bob Backlund's book.
@jeremymbarr@brianstelter How exactly? They've already shown they know how to sound abstractly reasonable and stonewall until people are gaslit enough to act out and get fired or fed up and quit...
