I officially changed my name to, ‘RatedEd.’
I went by, ‘Pokemon1086’ for 10+ years, saying it in over 500+ videos. This change was really hard for me, but due to using a licensed name within mine, while also wanting to rebrand myself. I felt this suited me well. Video soon!
NEW: More details on PlayStation’s reported digital strategy:
- No plans to reverse its decision on physical media
- Retail strategy won’t change
- Stores will reportedly sell empty game cases with download codes
- Sony believes players will eventually accept a 100% digital future
- Insiders claim Sony sees little need to maintain close contact with fans, trusting the strength of the PlayStation brand and community loyalty
Selling first-party games digitally also allows Sony to keep 100% sale price, instead of sharing roughly 30% with retailers.
An analyst told IGN: “With around 50 million PlayStation Plus subscribers, even if 500,000 canceled in protest, that’s just 1% of the business, unlikely to make Sony rethink. Digital is simply too lucrative.”
And I say underrated in the most respectful way possible. There’s TONS of young creative people out in the world that the industry is afraid of letting in. Give them the keys and let them drive!!
LOVE THIS 🫶🏾 Hollywood needs to understand that the average movie goer and fans of movies period want more originality and creative risk from underrated talented directors & writer’s over the same formulaic BS every 2 or so years.
@PlayStation I’m not buying the PS6. This is simply idiotic and dumbfounded. Once this rule goes into effect, I’m done with PlayStation. Taking away something to where people can’t be able to “own” the material they buy. So fucking stupid.
This is by far the most IDIOTIC decision I’ve ever heard. Why would I want to digitally own my games?? I want to physically go and buy my games. I can’t man.
PlayStation is ending production of physical game discs for all new games, starting January 2028.
From that date, new games will be available in digital formats only.
